”If you look at old Egyptian depictions, you often see chairs draped in flowing fabrics. With Wooden Wave, I wanted to capture this design technique, but as a material paradox: I would shape the flowing fabric out of solid wood. The result is an exploration of how even the most solid of elements can embody softness.”
